🗓 Quilotoa Full-Day Itinerary
🕕 7:00 a.m. – Hotel Pick-Up in Quito
Depart from Quito and travel along the Avenue of the Volcanoes, enjoying scenic views of the Andes. (Approx. 3 hours’ drive).
1. Quilotoa Lagoon (3,914 m / 12,841 ft)
🕛 10:30 a.m. – Arrive at the main viewpoint overlooking the Quilotoa crater.
📍 Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the emerald lagoon.
⏱ Option 1: Hike down to the lake (30–40 min descent / 1 hr return).
⏱ Option 2: Optional kayak ride on the lagoon (extra fee).
💡 Horses are available for the uphill return if desired.
2. Traditional Andean Lunch 🍽️
🕑 2:00 p.m. – Lunch at a local restaurant with a spectacular view of the lagoon (not included).
3. Tigua Painter Workshop 🎨
🕙 3:30 p.m. – Visit an art workshop in the Tigua community.
📍 Meet a local artist and see his colorful paintings made on sheepskin, representing Andean festivals, mountains, and animals.

4. Return to Quito
🕒 3:30 p.m. – Depart Quilotoa.
🕕 7:00 p.m. – Estimated arrival at your hotel in Quito.
